We have a large selection of books dealing with Scottish history, from the prehistoric period, including Archaeology, all the way through to modern politics. There are an increasing number of books on the issues surrounding the Independence Referendum!

We stock back-issues of the Scottish and Glasgow Archaeological Journals, as well as lectures and booklets published by Groam House, Friends of Govan Old and Friends of the Whithorn Trust.

We have a wide variety of books relating to local & Glasgow history, including books from Stenlake on the recent history of many Scottish towns and villages. These, and a similar range from Amberley, are packed with old pictures and photographs.

Our onomastics section is stocked with books relating to toponymy and anthroponymy, including books on Scottish forenames and surnames, The Journal of Place-Name Studies, and The Place-names of Fife series by Simon Taylor & Gilbert Márkus.

We have books of Travellers' Tales from authors such as Duncan Williamson, Sheila Stewart, Jess Smith, and Betsy Whyte.
